Probiotic (means “for life”) are sometimes known as healthy intestinal flora or beneficial bacteria and have long been used to culture yogurt, sauerkraut and other fermented foods.

Recently, science is revealing that probiotics are more vital than anyone ever imagined and are especially beneficial for the bowel. Many don’t realize that the bowel is the source of core health and vitality. It is there that the all-important transfer of nutrients to the bloodstream takes place. It is also the command center of the immune system and eliminator of waist products. For the bowel to work properly a partnership with billions and billions of probiotics is necessary for every critical intestinal function.

Young Living’s new LIFE 5 provides five of the most clinically proven and advanced probiotics, including three super-strains that represent the most health promoting and visible strains ever prepared in a supplement. It can be taken daily or intensively at onset or during or after illness to boost the immunity and support recovery. It is especially important after taking any antibiotics or suffering any gastrointestinal distress.

LIFE 5 may be used by healthy children and adults to help maintain optimal well-being. Research indicates that those concerned with proper digestive function will benefit from taking LIFE 5. LIFE 5 may also be taken by those who wish to improve nutrient absorption, increase energy levels and improve immune health. LIFE 5 builds and restores core intestinal health.

LIFE 5 - High potency probiotic builds and restores core intestinal health by providing a daily boost of five clinically proven and advanced probiotics. This includes three of the most health-promoting super strains ever prepared in a supplement. LIFE 5 will provide greater energy, support improved immunity and promote intestinal health.

10 reasons why you should work for yourself written by Doug Firebaugh:

Reason # 10:

You’ll spend 90,000 hours of your life working for someone else so you’ll get a gold watch and a really cool part-time job at Wal-Mart as a greeter.

Reason # 9:

Working about 40 hours a week, you’ll spend 2,000 hours a year working for your employer. In exchange you’ll get 80 hours of vacation time absolutely FREE!

Reason # 8:

It’s been a rough day. You’re home relaxing, watching “America’s Most Wanted” on TV and, to your horror, you realize the babysitter you leave your precious children with every day is on the FBI Top Ten Most Wanted list!

Reason #7:

You get up when you don’t want to, drive someplace you don’t want to go, and make a living working with people you really don’t like.

Reason # 6:

Would you be wearing something different if they didn’t tell you how to dress?

Reason # 5:

Your company may think it’s really cool to let you go. “Newsweek” Magazine says firing people has gotten to be trendy in corporate America.

Reason # 4:

Asking for time off is too much like asking your parents for permission.

Reason # 3:

Good News. You’ve survived the downsizing. The bad news is that you have to go home and tell the family you’re being transferred to Bangladesh.

Reason # 2:

Elephants work for peanuts - why should you? Shouldn’t you be paid what you’re really worth?

Reason # 1:

Yes, the Number 1 reason why working for someone else is just plain dumb: this is America and you don’t have to! Yes, America is still the land of great opportunity but it’s just not in the same place you’re used to looking. You know, people who work half as hard as you do, and are earning great part-time incomes, taking dream vacations and even making fistfuls of money. What’s your excuse for not building your own successful business?

What have you got to lose except a BOSS?

Here is a great article by Steve Pavlina on 33 Rules to Boost Your Productivity…

Heuristics are rules intended to help you?Ǭ†solve problems.?Ǭ† When a problem is large or complex, and the optimal solution is unclear, applying a heuristic allows you to begin making progress towards a solution even though you can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t visualize the entire path from your starting point.

Suppose your goal is to climb to the peak of a mountain, but there?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s no trail to follow.?Ǭ† An example of a heuristic would be:?Ǭ† Head directly towards the peak until you?Ǭ†reach an obstacle you can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t cross.?Ǭ† Whenever you?Ǭ†reach such?Ǭ†an obstacle, follow it around to the right until you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re able to head towards the peak once again.?Ǭ† This isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t the most intelligent or comprehensive heuristic, but in many cases it will work just fine, and you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll eventually reach the peak.

Heuristics don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t guarantee you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll find the optimal solution, nor do they generally guarantee a solution at all.?Ǭ† But?Ǭ†they do a good enough job of solving certain types of problems to be useful.?Ǭ† Their strength is that they break the deadlock of indecision and get you into action.?Ǭ† As you take action you begin to explore the solution space, which deepens your understanding of the problem.?Ǭ†?Ǭ†As you gain knowledge about the problem, you can?Ǭ†make course corrections along the way, gradually improving your chances of finding a solution.?Ǭ†?Ǭ†If you?Ǭ†try to solve a problem you don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t initially know how to solve, you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll often figure?Ǭ†out?Ǭ†a solution as you go, one you never could have imagined until you started moving.?Ǭ† This is especially true with creative work such as software development.?Ǭ† Often you don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t even know exactly what you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re trying to build until you start building it.

Heuristics have many practical applications, and one of my favorite areas of application is personal productivity.?Ǭ†?Ǭ†Productivity heuristics?Ǭ†are behavioral rules (some general, some situation-specific) that?Ǭ†can help us get things done more?Ǭ†efficiently.?Ǭ† Here are some of my favorites:

1. Nuke it!?Ǭ† The most efficient way to get through a task is to delete it.?Ǭ† If it doesn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t need to be done, get it off your to do list.

2. Daily goals.?Ǭ† Without a clear focus, it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s too easy to succumb to distractions.?Ǭ† Set targets for each day in advance.?Ǭ† Decide what you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll do; then do it.

3. Worst first.?Ǭ† To defeat procrastination learn to tackle your most unpleasant task first thing in the morning instead of delaying it until later in the day.?Ǭ† This small victory will set the tone for a very productive day.

4. Peak times.?Ǭ† Identify your peak cycles of productivity, and schedule your most important tasks for those times.?Ǭ† Work on minor tasks during your non-peak times.

5. No-comm zones.?Ǭ† Allocate uninterruptible blocks of time for solo work?Ǭ†where you must concentrate.?Ǭ† Schedule light, interruptible tasks for your open-comm periods and more challenging projects for your no-comm periods.

6. Mini-milestones.?Ǭ† When you begin a task, identify the target you must reach before you can stop working.?Ǭ† For example, when working on a book, you?Ǭ†could?Ǭ†decide?Ǭ†not to get up until you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ve written at least 1000 words.?Ǭ† Hit your target no matter what.

7. Timeboxing.?Ǭ† Give yourself a fixed time period, like 30 minutes, to make a dent in a task.?Ǭ† Don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t worry about how far you get.?Ǭ† Just put in the time. ?Ǭ†

8. Batching.?Ǭ† Batch similar tasks like phone calls or errands into a single chunk, and knock them off in a single session.

9. Early bird.?Ǭ† Get up early in the morning, like at 5am, and go straight to work on your most important task.?Ǭ† You can often get more done before 8am than most people do in a day.

10. Cone of silence.?Ǭ† Take a laptop with no network or WiFi access, and go to a place where you can work flat out without distractions, such as?Ǭ†a library, park, coffee house, or your own backyard.?Ǭ† Leave your comm gadgets behind.

11. Tempo.?Ǭ† Deliberately pick up the pace, and try to move a little faster than usual.?Ǭ† Speak faster.?Ǭ† Walk faster.?Ǭ† Type faster.?Ǭ† Read faster.?Ǭ† Go home sooner.

12. Relaxify.?Ǭ† Reduce stress by cultivating a relaxing, clutter-free?Ǭ†workspace. ?Ǭ†

13. Agendas.?Ǭ† Provide clear written agendas to meeting participants in advance.?Ǭ† This greatly improves meeting focus and efficiency.?Ǭ† You can use it for phone calls too.

14. Pareto.?Ǭ† The Pareto principle is the 80-20 rule, which states that 80% of the value of a task comes from 20% of the effort.?Ǭ† Focus your energy on that critical 20%, and don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t overengineer the?Ǭ†non-critical 80%.

15. Ready-fire-aim.?Ǭ† Bust procrastination by taking action immediately after setting a goal, even if the action isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t perfectly planned.?Ǭ† You can always adjust course along the way.

16. Minuteman.?Ǭ† Once you have the information you need to make a decision, start a timer and give yourself just 60 seconds to make the actual decision.?Ǭ† Take a whole minute to vacillate and second-guess yourself all you want, but come out the other end with a clear choice.?Ǭ† Once your decision is made, take some kind of action to set it in motion.

17. Deadline.?Ǭ† Set a deadline for task completion, and use it as a focal point to stay on track.

18. Promise.?Ǭ† Tell others of your commitments, since they?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll help hold you accountable.

19. Punctuality.?Ǭ† Whatever it takes, show up on time.?Ǭ† Arrive early.

20. Gap reading.?Ǭ† Use reading to fill in those odd periods like waiting for an appointment, standing in line, or while the coffee is brewing.?Ǭ† If you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re a male, you can even read an article while shaving (preferably with an electric razor).?Ǭ† That?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s 365 articles a year.

21. Resonance.?Ǭ† Visualize your goal as already accomplished.?Ǭ† Put yourself into a state of actually being there.?Ǭ† Make it real in your mind, and you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll soon see it in your reality.

22. Glittering prizes.?Ǭ† Give yourself frequent rewards for achievement.?Ǭ† See a movie, book a professional massage, or spend a day at an amusement park.

23. Quad 2.?Ǭ† Separate the truly important tasks from the merely urgent.?Ǭ†?Ǭ†Allocate blocks of time to work on the critical Quadrant 2 tasks, those which are important but rarely urgent, such as physical exercise, writing a book, and finding a relationship partner.

24. Continuum.?Ǭ† At the end of your workday, identify the first task you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll work on the next day, and set out the materials?Ǭ†in advance.?Ǭ† The next day begin working on that task immediately.

25. Slice and dice.?Ǭ† Break complex projects into smaller, well-defined tasks.?Ǭ† Focus on completing just one of those tasks.

26. Single-handling.?Ǭ† Once you begin a task, stick with it until it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s 100% complete.?Ǭ† Don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t switch tasks in the middle.?Ǭ† When distractions come up, jot them down to be dealt with later.

27. Randomize.?Ǭ† Pick a totally?Ǭ†random piece of a larger project, and complete it.?Ǭ† Pay one random bill.?Ǭ† Make one phone call.?Ǭ† Write page 42 of your book.

28. Insanely bad.?Ǭ† Defeat perfectionism by completing your task in an intentionally terrible fashion, knowing you need never share the results with anyone.?Ǭ† Write a blog post about the taste of salt, design a hideously dysfunctional?Ǭ†web site, or create a business plan that guarantees a first-year bankruptcy.?Ǭ†?Ǭ†With?Ǭ†a truly horrendous first draft,?Ǭ†there?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s nowhere to go but up.

29. 30 days.?Ǭ† Identify a new habit you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢d like to form, and commit to sticking with it for just 30 days.?Ǭ† A temporary commitment is much easier to keep than a permanent one. ?Ǭ†

30. Delegate.?Ǭ† Convince someone else to do it for you.

31. Cross-pollination.?Ǭ† Sign up for martial arts, start a blog, or join an improv group.?Ǭ† You?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll often encounter ideas in?Ǭ†one field that can?Ǭ†boost your performance in another.

32. Intuition.?Ǭ† Go with your gut instinct.?Ǭ† It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s probably right.

33. Optimization.?Ǭ† Identify the?Ǭ†processes you use most often, and write them down step-by-step.?Ǭ† Refactor them on paper for greater efficiency.?Ǭ† Then implement and test your improved processes.?Ǭ† Sometimes we just can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t see what?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s right in front of us until we examine it under a microscope.

Are you still working for money? Network Marketing, it’s an asset, not a job?Ǭ†- Robert Kiyosaki?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†

This is a terrific article from Andrea Nierenberg, of?Ǭ†The Nierenberg Group.

Advertisers are continually ‘testing’ their commercial long before they go into production to see how effectively they communicate. As the summer draws to an end and we are all ‘back to school’ in a sense to gear up for the fall and winter, we will be in new formal events and functions and just living our ‘everyday?Ǭ† networking?Ǭ† life’. Everyday is the key - that is where ‘real networking’ occurs.

When we meet people, it is important to quickly and clearly let them know who and what we are. To do this in a way that is concise, enthusiastic, and memorable, it is sometimes called your “infomercial.” I like to use the acronym S.T.R.A.T.E.G.Y.

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† S-Make your infomercial Short and Succinct-Does it make the other person say

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† “tell me more?¢‚Ǩ¬ù or ?¢‚Ǩ?ìhow do you do that?” Grab them with an ‘actionable’

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† headline.?Ǭ†?Ǭ† “I take the fear out of standing up and speaking in public…”

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

T-Think of it in advance.- Create different ones according to the ‘audience’ if you

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† ?Ǭ†?Ǭ†can in advance. People create images and assumptions in their mind, so as

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† The Boy Scouts would say “be prepared”

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

R-Remember the Results you want to achieve. We want them to say “tell me

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† more”

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

A-Be Articulate in your message. Paint in the other person?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s mind a “word

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† picture.” Help them ’see’ what you do easily and effectively.

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

T-Time is of the essence-20 seconds is optimal. Or you will see: “M.E.G.O.”

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† ?¢‚Ǩ?ìMy Eyes Glaze Over?¢‚Ǩ¬ù.

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

E-Speak with Enthusiasm and Energy. - Your approach can be contagious when

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† you show your passion and interest - which means you need to have some

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† ‘action’ in what you say.

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

G-Set a Goal to attain. How do you focus on what you do as a ‘benefit’ - such as

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† “I work with organizations that are facing the challenges of a new economy and

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† have a service that creates new business for them…”

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

Y-Focus on the “You” (the other person) - Make it easy for them to hear and

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† listen to you. I always give my quick ‘headline’ and then say, “What is it you?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† do?” Then I can find a way to “connect the dots” with us by relating to what

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† they?Ǭ† have told me.

When you carefully plan how you introduce yourself, you will start interesting, dynamic conversations.?Ǭ† Always make the person you are speaking with curious and interested.?Ǭ† Tell them something that will stay in their mind when they think of you.?Ǭ† The bottom line is to introduce yourself in a way that will make people want to know you better.?Ǭ† Developing those relationships is the heart of networking.

If you are interested in having a health and wellness business?Ǭ†contact me.

Or, if you are looking for REALLY pure and healthy products and would like to be a customer,?Ǭ†visit my Young Living website here.

I am a Young Living Essential Oil distributor and I am looking for other like minded people to join my team and the Young Living community. Young Living is multinational, we work as a social marketing company, specializing in the production and distribution of therapeutic-grade essential oils and essential oil based products. Young Living is directly responsible for setting the world standard for the highest grade essential oils available. Anyone who knows anything about essential oils knows Young Living oils are the best.

Young Living has been providing therapeutic-grade essential oils, massage oils, personal care products, the well known line of Thieves products, NingXia Red juice, and essential oil based nutritional supplements to people like you and me, and the healing arts community since 1993.

Young Living is a MLM company [if you think it's a pyramid you may want to educate yourself] because they want every customer to have a sponsor who helps them learn about essential oils. Yes, there is a learning curve - this is why there are distributors who sponsor newcomers. This alone should indicate that Young Living essential oils are not anything at all like the “novelty” aromatherapy products sold cheaply in stores and online.

Our oils are for people who are serious about purity and who want essential oils that can perform serious benefits.

Young Living is also a financially stable company - no worries about them disappearing in a year or two! We are passionate about purity and share a common thread - we care strongly about the wellness of ourselves, our families & friends, and the environment.

Having been a small business owner for 30 years with conventional types of businesses, I am loving that Young Living is a MLM company. It took me some effort to completely understand how MLM works. Now that I do understand, there is no way I would ever want a conventional business model again! There’s no way I would ever get a residual income from any of my previous business ventures.

When I think of all the effort I put into my previous businesses and if it had been a Young Living business I would today be extremely well-off.

I’ve been using essential oils for 20 years, Young Living oils for almost 8 years. I’ve had a Young Living business for almost two years… I can see and feel the benefits. I am very excited to know that I can, through my efforts and those of our team-work, can reach my financial goals. Results that will be with me the rest of my life.

Yes, I understand some have gotten burnt by MLM businesses. Just know that there are different kinds of compensation plans - not all of them benefit the distributors. Young Living does have a plan that benefits its distributors. A plan that pays the new and active distributor in their first month!

The things I enjoy the most about having a Young Living business are:

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I don’t have to carry any inventory

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ My overhead is inexpensive!

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I don’t have to process and ship, or deliver orders

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I do NOT have a garage full of unused product! Nor do any other Young Living distributors!

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I can buy whatever products I want every month, in the quantities I want

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I work from my home office and make my own hours

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Start up cost is under $500

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Educational materials are accessible and user friendly

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Hype-free

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Rah-rah free

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Pressure-free

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I get paid even when I take a day off

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ I can get new customers while I’m sleeping, eating dinner, or walking my dog [this does not mean I don't have to work my business, it means I have set up my business and use tools to assist me]

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ and, my most favorite - I’m selling essential oils that our bodies recognize because we evolved with them!

You can be involved part-time or full-time, the choice is yours.

What type of person am I looking for?

I’m looking for decisive people who have a passion for purity. People who are confident, willing to learn, love selling, and teaching others. People who are ready to achieve their goals and who want something better. And those looking for a long-term business venture.

If this is an opportunity that resonates with you, or someone you know, please contact me through my website: TheVeryEssence.com and I will answer your questions and help you get started. It’s fun and smells wonderful!

If you’re not looking to be a Young Living distributor and would like to be a customer because you like my values and straight talk, terrific! You can go to my website and order some of Young Living’s wonderful products. At my essential oil blog, Aromatherapy4uBLOG.com you can see the 3 different customer types and choose the one you like best. Here are the scores of “equal” portions of the most popular antioxidant juices on the market. I’ve heard… some companies have been misleading people very cleverly. They are telling people that their antioxidant juices scores highest among competitors and they have documentation from Brunswick Lab to prove it.

This is the clever part, what those companies are “not” telling you when they say their juice is higher in antioxidants than, for example: NingXia Red or possibly another, they’re not comparing equal amounts of their competitors against theirs.

When you take into account these latest scores of an assortment of brands you will clearly see that with some it would take an entire truckload to equal one ounce of NingXia Red.

Here is the S-ORAC activity of “equal” size portions:

1?Ǭ†?Ǭ† - Sibu-Balance

1?Ǭ†?Ǭ† - Tahitian Noni

1.2 - Frequent Sea

2 ?Ǭ† - Via Viente

8?Ǭ† - Goyin

9?Ǭ† - Xango

13?Ǭ† - Xocai

33?Ǭ† - Monavie

43?Ǭ† - G3

68?Ǭ† - Himalayan Goji

85?Ǭ† - Ageless Xtra

87 - Vibe

363 - NingXia Red

Clearly, these activity scores show NingXia Red does have the highest S-ORAC, ORAC, and SOD (superoxide neutralizing capacity) activity among its competitors [results are from the third party Brunswick Lab].

These naturally scented gel air-fresheners are great for the home, the car, the office, or anywhere else you desire. They also make great inexpensive gifts that you can share with anyone.

Ideally you would want to use Young Living therapeutic-grade essential oils as it is only this quality of essential oil that has any beneficial effects - plus, they smell a lot better than their cheaper synthetic competitors.

Young Living essential oils can be found at my website,

The Very Essence.com

Instructions

Dissolve two envelopes (2 Tbsp.) of unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup of boiling water (this may take up to 5 minutes).

Add 1/2 cup of ice-cold water to the gelatin mixture

Add 10-15 drops of the essential oil or essential oil blend of your choice

Add 3-5 drops of food coloring (if desired)

Stir in 1 Tbsp. of salt, or 10-15 drops of a natural grain alcohol if desired (the salt or alcohol helps inhibit mold from growing on the gel).

Pour the gel mixture into 2 oz. salve containers, 1/3 oz. lip gloss containers, or used baby food jars.

Close the containers or jars, and allow to cool overnight (do not place in the fridge, or your food will absorb the scent.

Decorate the containers or jars as desired.

To use these gel air fresheners: open the container, place on a warm stove-top (not on the burner) while cooking, or simply place the open container on the counter or a shelf inside your home, or in a cup-holder inside your car.

Additional Ideas

Try creating layered gels by filling a jar 1/2 way with one color of gel, allowing that to cool for a couple of hours, then pouring another color of gel on top of that.

Some essential oils that I think are good choices for this application are:

Peppermint - keep your gel jar on your desk or in the car to help stay alert

Lavender - on the nightstand to promote a restful night’s sleep

Eucalyptus or Melaleuca - this is especially good on the nightstand when you have a stuffy nose or use in the bathroom to help dispel odors

Clove and Orange mixed together - nice in the kitchen

Peppermint and Thieves blend mixed together - I love these two combined

Jasmine or Ylang-Ylang with a couple drops of Patchouli - nice romantic scent in the bedroom or master bath

Sandlewood - during spiritual contemplation or mediatation

Idaho Balsam Fir - nice in the bathroom or in closets (this may even keep moths and insects away), actually Palo Santo would probably work well for this

The Young Living blend Sensation - especially nice in the bedroom

Other nice choices would be: Joy, PanAway, Purification or Thieves or Peace & Calming

The list goes on and on, visit my website and click on the various essential oils and see which fragrances resonate with you.

By the way, do NOT expect to get the same benefits by this means of air freshening as you would with a cold-air diffuser as Gel air fresheners do not actually put the essential oil itself into the air like a cold-air diffuser does. Learn more about diffusing here

Just four healthy lifestyle indicators could determine whether you live an extra fourteen years or not. These lifestyle behaviors include: non-smoking, physical activity, moderate alcohol consumption, and eating five servings of fruit or vegetables a day.

Researchers at the University of Cambridge and the Medical Research Council looked at 20,000 men and women, aged 45-79, who filled out a questionnaire about four health behaviors.

The participants, who did not have a health history that included any known cancers, cardiac or circulatory disease, filled out the questionnaire between 1993 and 1997 and were followed until 2006.

Just following one of these behaviors helps, but every step you make to improve your health seems to have an added benefit. Like when you eat grass-fed meats, rather than feedlot raised (did you know that even “organic” meats are from animals raised in feedlots?) Which is why I get ALL of my animal products here.

The benefits were also seen regardless of whether?Ǭ† people were overweight, or what social class they came from. The findings were published Monday in the Public Library of Science Medicine journal.

The study participants were given a score of ‘1′ for each of the positive health behaviors they followed on a regular basis.

Researchers tracked deaths in the study group including deaths from cardiovascular disease, cancer, and respiratory disease, up until 2006. People who scored a point in each of the four lifestyle categories were four times less likely to die than those who scored zero in lifestyle behaviors, the research showed.

After they factored in age, the researchers found that participants with zero points were four times more likely to have died over an average period of 11 years than those with four points.

In addition, the study authors concluded that participants with a score of zero had the same risk of dying as someone 14 years older with a score of four. This was independent of body-mass index (BMI) and social class.

While the findings need to be confirmed in other populations and an analysis of how these combined health behaviors affect quality of life is needed, the researchers said the results suggest that these four healthy lifestyle behaviors could markedly improve the health of middle-aged and older people.

The study should convince people that improving their health does not always require extreme changes to their lifestyles.

“This research is an important piece of work which emphasizes how modifying just a few risk factors can add years to your life,” said Dr. Tim Armstrong, a physical activity expert at the World Health Organization.

The study is part of the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC), conducted in 10 European countries. EPIC is the largest-ever study of diet and health.

There is strong evidence that individual lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet and physical activity influence health and longevity, but there has been little research into their combined impact, according to background information in a news release about the study.

But because the study only observed people rather than testing specific changes, experts said that it would be impossible to conclude that people who suddenly adopted these healthy behaviors would automatically gain 14 years.

“We can’t say that any one person could gain 14 years by doing these things,” said Armstrong. “The 14 years is an average across the population of what’s theoretically possible.”
